Physics Education Forum
Helping Shape the Future of Physics Education in Our Schools
December 16, 2023 :: 9:00 AM -- 2:00 PM
101 Brockman Hall, Rice University
Join our discussion about the successes and challenges of teaching physics. Share with other teachers your classroom experiences, interests, and needs to ensure physics is the dynamic course it can be.
In this forum, we will explore educational and professional development opportunities available through QuarkNet and Rice University’s Office of STEM Engagement (R-STEM).
We will introduce you to QuarkNet, a long-term teacher professional development program supported by the National Science Foundation with the goal of bringing authentic research experiences into high school science classrooms. We will listen and learn how we can support you and your students. We plan to conclude the forum with a lab tour or QuarkNet-specific activity.
